The 22/2 stranded alarm wire is the most commonly used wire for attaching door and window contacts to a burglar alarm system. A 22/2 alarm wire gives you the two conductors needed to wire alarm peripherals such as magnetic door and window contacts, monitoring sensors, panic buttons, or any other non-powered alarm components.
This 1000ft box of 22/2 alarm wire features 22 gauge stranded bare copper conductors, color coded (Green/Red) conductors, and a CMR rated PVC jacket. The CMR rating on the 22/2 alarm wire ensures it is rated for both residential and commercial alarm wiring applications.
